The idea for the establishment Okkoral outdor camp was created by the symbiosis of three motives: Classic fairy tale, the famous western movie and popular TV show.
Town Musicians of Bremen
First, there is the famous Brothers Grimm fairy tale known as the Town Musicians of Bremen (Original: Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten).
In the story a donkey, a dog, a cat, and a rooster (or hen), all past their prime years in life and usefulness on their respective farms, were soon to be discarded or mistreated by their masters. One by one they leave their homes and set out together. They decide to go to Bremen, known for its freedom, to live without owners and become musicians there. The point is that modern urban man and all of us carries that legacy of those who have escaped from farms and went to the cities to become “musicians”.
Gunfight at the OK Corral
Another motive is contained in the famous western movie Gunfight at the OK Corral.
Gunfight at the O.K. Corral is a American film starring Burt Lancaster as Wyatt Earp and Kirk Douglas as Doc Holliday, based on a real event which took place on October 26, 1881. The shootout was couched in the movie as a heavily-armed firefight that took place at medium range. The historical event itself lasted only about 30 seconds, and was fought at close range with only a few firearms.
Our club has a mini horse farm and even coral, a place where binding like those of the Old American West. However, the motive which has a deeper meaning is that fact after the gunfight at the OK Corral starts pacifying Wild west and to the beginning of the end of the rule of bandits and outlaws. So in our club as one of the goals we have this additional pacification of the human soul and the search for effective ways to the impregnating and general peace of mind, soul and body. Last but not the least important fact is that the name of the camp is not the OK Corral from the film but it is Father Cosmas Corral, conceptual initiator and founder of the club. OK represents the initials of the Father Cosmas (Serbian: Otac Kozma).
Jamie at Home
The third motive lies contained in the popular television show Jamie at Home.
Its a British cookery programme presented by Jamie Oliver. In each episode, Jamie uses a different ingredient which has been grown organically at his home in rural Essex, England. This popular show demonstrates how one can have a tasty and healthy food prepared from ingredients grown in their own garden. Such a concept of diet is something that many lack the modern man addressed the culture of instant life. Our cuisine is based on a combination of modern and traditional recipes, all foods of plant and animal origin are organically grown on our farm.
The combination of motives that lie hidden in these three phenomena, the idea to launch Okkoral outdor club. So all of us who once escaped from farms to cities in the hope that we will become musicians, and so come to easier and more pleasant life now we want to further the pacification of souls and bodies returning to a natural diet and lifestyle.
